Ups and Downs

I'm so excited I could burst!  James was accepted into Ohio State's Veterinary School today.  Anyone who knows much about this process knows it is roughly 2-3 times harder to get into vet school than medical school.  I am so proud and can't wait to celebrate!  He sent me a brief text message letting me know before going into a 3 hour lab.  I haven't even gotten to congratulate him yet so I'm really antsy!!!

I have mixed feelings at the same time though, because my grandfather is very ill and not doing very well this week.  I am going to see him this weekend and try to enjoy as much time with him as possible.  I experience illness and death from cancer everyday at the hospital with my program, but when it hits home it's just surreal.  It just teaches us all how short life is and to not hold grudges and just enjoy the time you have with the people you love!

Spring Break

Looks like James and I will be heading back out to Salt Lake City, Utah for spring break again this year! We couldn't be more excited! Hopefully the weather is a little nicer so we can see some more sights. Not that I will complain about just having some relaxation time with some really wonderful people.

Thanks Kim! Can't wait to see you guys again!

Here's a couple pictures from last year:

Saturday Night In

James and I have been sitting around at my place this evening.  We went to the big Columbus bridal show today, and it took a lot out of us.  So many brides, so many are crazy!  Anyway, we were both pooped after that.  We both took naps and have since had pizza, popcorn, played Scrabble, Euchre, and we're on our 2nd NFL playoff game.  No college football on tonight - boo!

Speaking of, I'm proud of my little brother Kurt, getting ready for his last TBDBITL (OSU Marching Band) performance at the Fiesta Bowl on Monday.  That is, pending his acceptance into dental school next fall.

James and I visited our local Victorian Village coffee shop again last night.  It's a very quaint place and we ended up staying for a couple hours sipping some good beer and playing a few games of Sequence.  (If you haven't played, it's a very addicting game!)

Well, back to enjoying these last precious hours until my second to last quarter of college starts...  Everyone enjoy their weekend!
